About Kay Florence Nolan

Kay grew up with her late mother, Helen Florence Nolan, studying Law as a distance student whilst Kay was only 5.  Kay recalls sitting under a table in her Mum's law tutorials listening to the discussion.

Kay's first degree was an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy at Macquarie University.  Kay's studies in psychology help her recognise mental health issues in her legal clients.

If Kay thinks there may be something worth exploring, she will send her clients to mental health professionals for assessment including brain scans for potential acquired brain injuries and post-concussion syndrome.

Over the years she has built a network of mental health professionals to help you.

As a mature aged student, around the age of 29, Kay enrolled in the Legal Professions Admissions Board (LPAB) with Sydney University. She came within the top three students in her year in Criminal Law and Procedure.  To this day she believes her education in philosophy helps her determine what is right and wrong in the sense that, if justice has not been served, she gets a "feeling" and will research the relevant legislation and common law until she finds answers to help her clients.

Kay obtained her Diploma in Law in 2012.

In May 2014 Kay was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales to practice as a lawyer.

Shortly thereafter she was admitted to the High Court of Australia.  Kay is looking forward to following her Mum's footsteps and briefing Counsel in the High Court one day.
